The trail marker is two red dots and a red ring—at San Rocco, those two trails will divide for alternative routes to San Fruttuoso. We walked for 30 minutes.

Camogli to San Rocco Church and Village. Follow the signs to San Rocco, a little village with a church of the same name up the hill from Camogli. The route initially follows along the little rocky stream, then crosses a small bridge and continues upwards. It's a cute, cobbled path through olive groves with nice views over the countryside.

Ruta di Camogli is located along the stretch of via Aurelia between Recco and Rapallo, it has a small group of houses along the hill and is one of the starting points for the itineraries of Portofino Nature Park.

San Rocco is perhaps one of the most beautiful villages we know of. There are 3-4 taverns, a view needless to say magnificent, and the beginning of many paths that lead into the Portofino.

Hiking between San Rocco and San Fruttuoso was a beautiful and lush trail. The ferry one-way costs €8, however, it is only €14 for a roundtrip ticket, so slightly cheaper if you plan to visit San Fruttuoso that way. The ferry terminal in Camogli is located here. Visit the day before your hike to learn about the timetables.
